Art Club: Eclipse Artwork
Alma Woodsey Thomas is an African American Artist who created "The Eclipse" after being inspired by the total solar eclipse she experienced on March 7, 1970. This eclipse was visible from across the Eastern United States, including Washington, DC. Her masterpiece is displayed in the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington D.C. Junior high and high school students used Alma Woodsey Thomas as inspiration for their very own artwork this week. They created their own versions of "The Eclipse".
